Rajasthan Cultural Tour

Destination: Delhi - Jodhpur - Luni - Dhamli - Deogarh - Narlai - Kumbalgarh - Ranakpur - Udaipur - Dungarpur - Udaipur - Delhi

Duration: 13 Nights / 14 Days


Day 01: Arrival Delhi

On arrival at Airport/Railway Station, our representative will meet you and take you to the capital of successive dynasties and empires and now a metropolitan city with a mix of the old and new life. Overnight stay is at Delhi hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast, we take you out for a full day sightseeing to Delhi. They include Red Fort made by Shah Jahan in 1639, Humayun's Tomb- built by, Hamida Banu Begum-the widow of the great ruler Humayun Qutab Minar-the victory tower built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak of the Slave Dynasty, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple built by the bahai community of Delhi and Rajghat-the resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, Shanti Vana -where India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was cremated and Jantra Mandir. Overnight stay is at Delhi hotel.

Day 03: Delhi - Jodhpur

After breakfast check out from the hotel and we move to Jodhpur-the sun city. Jodhpur was the capital of Marwar Kingdom and now is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the border of the Thar Desert. On arrival at Jodhpur, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, we move for a visit to Mehrangarh Fort (1459 AD), which houses many miniature paintings & cradle room followed by a visit to Jaswant Thada Memorial. Overnight stay will be at the Jodhpur hotel.

Day 04: Jodhpur

Morning after breakfasts go for a village safari in the jeep and have a rare and beautiful glimpse into the rich culture and true essence of India. Rich wildlife (game) and memorable moments of the great desert landscape fascinates one while traveling along the countryside. Overnight is at Jodhpur Hotel.

Day 05: Jodhpur - Luni

Morning travel by surface to Luni and visit Chanwa Fort Luni, an exceptional example of Rajput architecture. Afternoon go for village safari around Luni. See Bishnoi tribal villages and rural, Rajasthani life there Khejri tree groves, deer herds, peacocks and migratory birds make it a serene location. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay is at Hotel.

Day 06: Luni - Dhamli

Morning after breakfast drive to Dhamli, a typical Rajasthani village Dhamli situated in the Marwar region of Rajasthan. In the afternoon explore the village and see the traditional artisans at work. Overnight stay is at Hotel.

Day 07: Dhamli - Deogarh

In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and we transfer you to Deogarh- a city and fortress in Rajsamand District of Rajasthan. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later you can move out for a walk through the city. Dinner and overnight stay is at Deogarh hotel.

Day 08: Deogarh - Narlai

After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed for Narlai, en-route visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples which is famous for its marbles creativity. Later, drive to Narlai, the home for Rawla Narlai-a 17th century fortress gifted by Maharaja Umaid Singh to his brother in 1925 and, at the time, a hunting lodge, and now a serene heritage hotel. The village is of 15th century and is the home for Garasia tribes, an interesting ethnic group inhabiting the Aravalli foothills of Rajasthan. Garasias are agriculturists and living in huts and are far away from the fast world of modernization and development. You can move around and discover their way of living, dress up and other customs. Enjoy the night with full of cultural performances and magic shows by local artists and have a delicious Rajasthani food around a bonfire along with these performances. Overnight is at Rawla Narlai.

Day 09: Narlai - Kumbhalgarh - Ranakpur

After breakfast, proceed to Ranakpur enroute visit Kumbhalgarh, a massive hill top fort surrounded by walls and comprising a maze of temples and palaces. After lunch at Hotel, transfer to Ranakpur & visit Ranakpur Temples - the most magnificent 15th century Jain temples situated in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli Hill. Overnight is at the Hotel.

Day 10: Ranakpur - Udaipur

After breakfast, proceed to Udaipur-The city of lakes. Udaipur was the capital of the Rajput kingdom of Mewar and was founded by Rana Udai Singh. Udaipur is remarked with its palaces, blue lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls which all carry the flavor of a heroic past. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax and fresh up. Later move for a short visit to the famous City Palace - City Palace adorned with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies overlooking the lake and the city of Udaipur and the Peacock Courtyard. Return to the hotel in the evening and overnight stay will be at the Udaipur hotel.

Day 11: Udaipur

The full day is reserved for enjoying the city of Udaipur. First we visit Lake Pichola- built by Maharana Udai Singh II and consists of two islands. Enjoy a cruise through the lake and have a look on the famous Lake Palace and Jag Mandir Palace - which houses Jagdish Temple and the Royal Cenotaphs of the Rajput kings. Them we move to visit Fateh Sagar Lake originally built by Maharana Jai Singh in the year 1678 AD, but later on reconstructed and extended by Maharana Fateh Singh and the solar observatory inside. Further we move to Jagdish temple and Saheliyon-ki-Bari. In the evening return back to the hotel. Overnight will be at Udaipur hotel.

Day 12: Udaipur - Dungarpur

After breakfast transfer to Dungarpur. Dungarpur is the first tribal place you will cover in the tour and is 125 Kms away from Ahmedabad. The city is named after the Bheel Chief Dungaria. Dungarpur is the address of the Bhils, a tribe whose history of occupancy in the Aravalli range is said to date back to 4000 BC and it was founded by Rawal Vir Singh in 13th Century. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening; move out, for a walk to the nearby places. Overnight stay is in Dungarpur hotel.

Day 13: Dungarpur

The full day is meant for exploring the villages in the tribal area. There you can find a world which far behind the world of modernization and development. They are strictly holding their customs and traditions amidst the fast world. You can go to their houses, can talk with them, and even can take a picture with them. Later move for a visit to Juna Mahal, the Badal Mahal, Rajmata Devendra Kunvar State Museum and Cultural Centre and the Government Archaeological Museum. Evening can be spent with the tribals enjoying their traditional dances and cultural programmes etc. Overnight stay is in Dungarpur Hotel.

Day 14: Dungarpur - Udaipur - Delhi

Morning is at leisure. Later drive to Udaipur to board the connecting flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to the international airport to board the flight to the next destination.
