MotorCycle Tour Rajasthan


Destination: New Delhi - Bharatpur - Jaipur - Bikaner - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Pushkar

Duration: 14 nights / 15 days

Day 01: New Delhi - Agra - Bharatpur (260 KM)

You shall be boarding an air-conditioned ( Train / Bus ) to Agra.   An early start ensures that we beat the rush hour traffic of Delhi. An 4 hours journey will bring you  to Agra where the group will be met by a guide.  You will then visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort before proceeding to the day’s last destination of Bharatpur.

Day 02: Bharatpur (short familiarisation ride to Deeg - 90 KM)

In the morning you can visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park and do some bird watching.  Before Lunch it will be time to get familiar with your motorcycle.  After an exhaustive briefing you’ll be taking a short ride (in an effort to know your bike better and to get familiar with its controls and riding conditions in India) to Deeg and also visit the beautiful Palace there.  The rest of the evening is free for leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Bharatpur.

Day 03: Bharatpur - Jaipur (215 KM)

After breakfast you’ll kick-start your motorcycle tour and head towards Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan.

Day 04: Jaipur

The day is yours for sightseeing and Jaipur has a lot to offer in that field. 

Day 05: Jaipur - Mandawa  (195 KM)

Leaving Jaipur, you head north-west on the NH-11 towards the Shekhwati region, to the town of Mandawa. 

Day 06: Mandawa

Referred to as the "open air art gallery" of Rajasthan, the entire Shekhawati region is dotted with fascinating mansions (Havelis) embellished with frescoes & colourfully painted walls.  You may either explore the town or use the day for rest/ relaxation.  Alternatively, if you are keen to ride, we’ll be organising a short ride in the surrounding region (optional).

Day 07: Mandawa - Bikaner (250 KM)

Joining the NH-11 again, you’ll head westwards towards the city of Bikaner, one of the famous desert cities of Rajasthan. Bikaner's spectacular landscape is dominated by the indomitable Junagarh Fort and the red sandstone Lalgarh Palace both of which you’ll visit today.  The afternoon can be well utilized to visit the old city.

Day 08: Bikaner - Jaisalmer (360 KM)

Today we turn south-westwards on NH-15 and head for Jaisalmer, another beautiful desert town located in the Thar desert. It’s the longest riding day of the tour so eservingly, we’ll be stopping en route at Phalodi, for a lunch as well as to see hundreds of migratory Demoiselle Cranes at the nearby village of Khichan, reaching Jaisalmer just in time to see the sunset behind the “Golden Fort”. 

Day 09: Jaisalmer

The day is yours for visiting the “Living Fort” (yes, its the only fort with a fourth of Jaisalmer’s population living within its walls) and other inquisitively carved mansions which make for some of the most beautiful buildings in the state.

Day 10: Jaisalmer - Khuri village and sand dunes (45 KM)

After spending the morning in Jaisalmer, after lunch its time to move further into the Thar desert.  An hour's ride will bring you to Khuri , a small village 45 Km from Jaisalmer. Accommodation in mud clayed African style huts, or sleep on the sand dunes under the stars, inclusive of a Camel ride into the Sunset and a cultural program of Rajasthani music / dance and dinner

Day 11: Khuri  - Jodhpur (315 KM)

Continuing eastwards you’ll make your way to Jodhpur, one of the most spectacular destinations in Rajasthan.  

Day 12: Jodhpur

The day is yours to visit the places of interest like the Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace & Jaswant Thada.

Day 13: Jodhpur - Pushkar (215 KM)

Leaving Jodhpur, you'll head north east to Pushkar, a holy town famous for its lake, various ghats and temples spread all around it. 

Day 14: Pushkar - Bharatpur (355 KM) 

Tonight’s dinner will be a “Farewell” dinner.

Day 15: Bharatpur - New Delhi
