Delhi to Rishikesh

Rishikesh At 1360 m. above sea-level, Rishikeh is a peaceful, serene place inhabited by sadhus and mendicants, and visited by tourists and pilgrims alike. People come to Rishikesh to meditate and study yoga, among other things.

The Triveni Ghat at Rishikesh is considered the most sacred spot as it is the point of confluence of the three holy rivers -Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The other attraction of Rishikesh is the Laxman Jhoola over the river Ganga, which connects the two sides of the town.
